How To Raise Resilient Children
-Supporting and guiding children to assist them navigate life’s challenges.
-Discuss skills that children and youth need in order to be resilient.
-Discuss parents’ role and what skills to teach children and youth in order to achieve resilience
Guest Speaker: Maram Younis graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) in California with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She started her career as a domestic violence victim’s advocate in 2011. After gaining some experience, she decided to pursue more areas of Counseling and social service. She returned to SDSU and earned a Masters of science in Marriage And Family Therapy. Currently as a California board certified Marriage and family therapist, Maram is a Child and adolescent psychologist at the department of psychiatry at Sidra medicine. Maram has experience providing therapy to high risk children and youth, individuals, families, and couples. Her work involves assessing, treating and supporting those she works with heal from trauma and reach their highest potential.

This workshop is free for members. You can purchase membership at the door or at the Sensory Souk store in Royal Plaza. Alternatively you can pay a drop in fee of 50 QR.
Please arrange for babysitting of small children.
